Our Story
Prior Store was founded in 2019 by owner Tony Kang. The young self made entrepreneur originally started his business specialising in Vintage, importing from suppliers in the United States and selling via local platforms. This sparked an initiative that he believed he could buy anything and sell it on and therefore he progressed to open a vintage store Vintage Vintage with multiple pop ups around the country including Glenfield, Ponsonby and Riccarton.
Opening a store in Auckland's Fashion District on High Street was a huge stepping stone and set him up for success and in 2023 July, he expands his passion for sneakers to Melbourne Central, Australia.
Our Team
In the ever growing industry of re-selling the team at Prior has grown exponentially since opening in 2019.
The team now consists of multiple components that help ensure the business keeps up with the demand for sneakers in New Zealand.
Our Team is made up of 5 sectors and includes our Store Team, Creative Team, Online Customer Service Team, Inbound Team and Outbound Team spread across 3 Locations in Auckland, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia.
A behind the scenes look into some of the roles at Prior
Inbound Team. Our Inbound team receives all stock for processing and is responsible for authenticating every item, every time.
Being a consignment based marketplace our Inbound Team deals with shipments from 1 unit upto 500 units in a carton.
